NorNed cable temporarily out of operation

On the morning of Friday 6 February, the NorNed cable between the Netherlands and Norway was taken out of operation due to causes as yet unknown. Investigations have revealed a failure near Eemshaven converter station.
Further investigations are currently being carried out to determine the cause of the failure at Eemshaven converter station. Any information will be published on this website as soon as it becomes available. The repair work is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.
Due to the failure, the NorNed cable is currently unavailable to the market.
